Need an estimate maybe or some help

Okay so my car was involved in a hit and run over the weekend and my insurance wont cover it. I was wondering what you guys would think the price would be to get it fixed ill post a picture up. Also, would it be wise to gather the parts from the junk yard and just repaint everything or just let the shop do everything?

Re: Need an estimate maybe or some help

Well, I have a hatch so it won't be that close, but I had the bumper replaced, 2 large dents in the tailgate removed and some massaging of the quarter panel around the tail light, and 2 new tail lights and it was $2K. (painting the rest of the car was extra)
You can see the pics here Civic Repair

A lot depends on the quality of the shop. I found a good shop that did great work but it wasn't cheap.

Did you not have uninsured motorist coverage? I can't see why they wouldn't cover unless you had liability only.

It wasnt covered because I guess since I had just gotten the car the insurance wasn't transferred over to it from my old car, honestly I don't understand it. But wow, it's not even worth it thats as much as i paid for it D;

Your insurance should pick up any new car for 30 days automatically. Even if you still have the other car.
