Rubbing Aclohol on Paint???

I used rubbing alcohol on the glass to remove dried up pine sap, but I am afraid to use it on the paint. Will it damage the paint? How about Goo Gone? If there is something better let me know.

Re: Rubbing Aclohol on Paint???

It won't hurt the paint but it won't remove the sap very well. Use Goo Gone or Goof-Off or bug and tar remover, or any adhesive remover. You can use the alcohol or some other mild cleaner to clean the area after you use the adhesive remover.
Also remember it will strip the wax in that area so you will need to re-wax.
