ok i have a 98 civic hatch laying around the shop with a d16y7 and im wondering wat i could do to make it fast with out going big money in after market i have a vtec head also laying around i was going to stick on. im wondering about an intake manifold i dont like how it comes odd the top is there any other intakes i could put on that are coming out the side, i was also think of a cam trying to find a used cam but then wats the point in vtec right

if anyone has any ideas let my no thanks

It all depends, if this is gonna be a track car Vtec is not much needed thanks to the Vtec killer cams that can be put into the Y7. (Vtec killer cams are not street safe). Turbo is one of the ways to go for more hp besides an engine swap.
