Intercooler Questions
hello honda civic forumers, i am new here and wondering if i could mount an intercooler in my honda civic, it is a 98 civic dx and i wanted to get an aftermarket fender, then mount an intercooler without installing a turbo, and not using any pipes, just a mounted intercooler

Please don't do it just for looks. And yes, like Lordsin said, it's gonna be a magnet for some cop having a bad day to pull you over for something stupid, just to search your car for something without a CARB EO number.
Even if you wanted to make it "functional" and have it "cool" your intake charge, you'd lose any benefit by making the air take a route with many bends.

Well, the inter cooler wouldn't be connected to anything, therefore not making anymore emissions, so I don't see why it would b an issue, a 100 dollar inter cooler is nothing because it won't actually be cooling anything, just mounted.

I mean, you could. But, everyone knows its illegal, so everyone knows your faking it. This is technically the definition of the word "Rice". Of course though, if you really wanted to mount it buy one and I'm sure if your crafty you will find a way. To each their own, people can give you their opinions ultimately if you like it or not is all that matters
