Swapping Body Panels?

I am about to come in possession of a 99 Honda Civic LX. It has been hit in the front end and needs the front bumper, grille, hood, and passenger fender replaced (thanks ditch!). It needs some suspension parts but I'm sourcing them from the same parts car as my question pertains. I have access to a 96 Civic EX 2 Door.

I know you can put the 99-00 front panels on a 96 Bodystyle, is the reverse true? So put the 96 Civic parts onto the 99 Civic I want to drive? I know I'll need the fenders, hood, grille, headlights, and front bumper. Thanks in advance!
