Re: Leveling High Beams

hi beam hotspot should be parallel to the ground with no lift or drop. basically they point straight ahead without dipping lower like the main beam. for example if you park 25 ft from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the middle of the hi beam reflector , then go to the wall and measure up the same distance, the hi beam light spot should be shining exactly at that spot. usually those aftermarket lights have a bolt or screw you turn to aim the reflector.

Re: Leveling High Beams

one of the guides i used to aim the main light stated that i should aim the mains at 25ft 2.5" lower than what they would be up close.

so in reality it is not much higher than the mains?

Re: Leveling High Beams

yes, and actually for the lo beams its a 2.1 inch drop at 25 ft. you could even get away with 1 inch drop if car is lowered, but you might blind some people a bit more often when going over bumps. hi beam has no drop.
