grinding noise?

hey guys, i have a problem turning to the right? theres a grinding sound, it gets louder as i continue 2 turn, but the thing is, if im not going fast 25-35ish range, and on flat road, the noise is gone..could it be a ball joint? it dnt affect the car in any way, but the noise is kind of annoying lol, thanks guys!

Re: grinding noise?

Check you cv joints for any cuts, tears, grease, and make sure they don't have any free play in them. If those are good then check your tie rod ends (inner & outer). Power steering pump bad, busted, clogged. Bad or busted rack and pinion.

Does it click or just grind? Aftermarket wheels or original steel rims? Outside wheel weights or inside sticky weights?

Re: grinding noise?

Does it go away when you turn left? or become less noticeable? if so, Wheel Bearing.

Re: grinding noise?

If your car is lowered or you have large wheels, check to see if your wheel well liner is rubbing your tires or the ground. I had that problem recently and I only noticed it when I turned. A simple fix too.

Re: grinding noise?

Check for a pebble (small rock) in between the brake shoes and the metal thing on the front wheels.

Re: grinding noise?

hey sorry guys, i didnt get a email letting me know that i got replies, but the noise is only while turing to the right, but its like different turn angles, and different angles of the road comes into play, if im on a flat road, and turn, the noise wont wont be made until like 60 degrees, but the same turn angle but on a banked turn, the noise can be heard at like 30-45 degrees, its only to the left, and its a grindin noise. strange thing is, if im in reverse, and turn that way, full wheel lock, it wont make the noise, no matter the speed

Re: grinding noise?

the grinding is at any speed, all depends on how much the wheel is being turned, once it starts grinding, all i have to do is straighten up the wheel, and its good, it dont grind at subtle turns, it has to be intersections, sweeping turns, all that stuff, i will try to get a friend to drive my car, and i will record the noise, and let you guys here. again, sorry for the late post, and i appreciate the input, i will check into the bearings,
