2000 civic exhaust

I have a civic and the exhaust that is on it is so loud I have to wear ear plugs on the highway. While I do like the sound of it in low gear it is just to damn loud. Any suggestions on a medium loudness with a good tone exhaust? Something I will not need ear plugs to drive.

Stock exhaust is pretty good. Quiet. Go to a junk yard and find one in good condition I guess.

Would that nasty dent cause the problem?

I have been looking everywhere for a leak, but can't seem to find one. I kinda think it might have a leak. I posted some pictures. I will take a video clip later today and post it.

it could...depends if the inside of the resonator is damaged. the resonator actually does most of the quieting of the exhaust and determines the tone more than the muffler. although at that point you might as well buy a new catback or get a new resonator and have a shop weld it in.

i had the tenrai on my 7th gen and it sounded really nice, but i have an srs on my 6th gen and i think it sounds better than the tenrai. quieter and deeper. theres no annoying raspy sound.
