Is there a specific OEM brand for our Honda Civics that I should be using for coolant? If so, what's the name/part number?

Sounds like a silly question but it really isn't because my Tundra requires a specific (OEM) brand.

I just go to the dealer or order online from BernardiParts.com . I just use OEM because I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm probably being a stickler about it, but I guess that's my nature.

Yes sir that's it. What everyone should know is that I wouldn't run any other anti freeze in a Honda. Honda anti freeze is the greatest anti freeze.

stick with oem or if you can find it zerex (valvoline) import vehicle coolant. those are the only two with the proper additives/composition for our honda cooling system.

What's the difference between an Acura coolant reading p/n OL999-9011A (difference is the letter "A") and ours? Could I use theirs in mine?

Basically, I know Honda = Acura.

Acura's coolant is slapped with a black label whereas ours is blue.

Good because I just ordered 4 gallons of the Acura premixed anti-freeze/coolant. They're so much cheaper than the Hondas...go figure.

interesting, i wouldve thought the only reason for "acura" fluids would be a higher markup. the acura dealer here has honda fluids for certain things. but i mean they are pretty much the same car and i bet the fluids are bought from the same supplier and just badged differently.
