98 d16y5 p1259 wont rev out past 4k
i have 98 hx civic mt d16y5. has air intake, and complete header exhaust system. recently cleaned egr ports out, carbon. need to figure out why vtec isnt working, or why in limp mode? has 230,000 need more power as well. please help. wanting to get ecu, but doesnt look like there r toomany options for d16y5. what would u reccomend?

First thing to do is check your oil level and add any if it needs it.
If oil level is fine pull the connector on the oil pressure switch and test for continuity (ohms) between the 2 pins. If there's no continuity replace the oil pressure switch.
Post up if you need to go further.

car has complete header exhaust, intake, and i just put a brand knew pressure switch . i took vtec s off cleaned good and put back to gether. also has oil press gauge. has plenty of oil wat is wrong bud?
