Rep Power: 0 2000 civic si major tranny problem agin
i posted a few days ago , found out that the 5th gear shift ring was damaged , fixed that working great . for about 200 ft. going down hill in 1st no gas 4 or 5 mph heard a soft audible pop , jumped out of 1st. went back to 1st and nothing no power just reved up . the spedo still works the gears still shift just fine , but no go i would like to have some idea about what might be going on before i pull the tranny for the 3rd time any ideas would be a great help.

Who did the work on the tranny? Did you inspect all sleeves, rings, etc.? If it wasn't doing this before, then you/someone needs to go back and check the work.

i did all the work , besides the shift ring being damaged there was no other visable damage other than some burs on the shift change assembly. all the gears show no signs of damage just standard wear . the pop was quiet but i dont understand ,if something major was broken or out of alighnment there would be a lot of racket. my brother thought a shift fork may have jumped out but it would eather be in a gear or mutiple gears causing the tranny to bind ,eather way there would still be power .
