96-00 civic radiator hose size

so my radiator just took a dump on me in my 97 ex and i'm looking to buy a new one. there are some dual core aluminum ones on ebay that i'm looking at but they say that their inlets are 32mm and oem is 28mm. I have looked around to see if there are larger hose kits for my car but i can't seem to find any that list what the sizes of the hoses are. Rre their any other hose kits that are compatible like off the b16 maybe if its hoses are larger?

Re: 96-00 civic radiator hose size

so i got one of those aftermarket radiators off of ebay and it seems to be fine except for one tiny detail. it has a wider diamater hose neck then the stock one. i was unsuccessful in finding any aftermarket hoses that actually have a wider diameter and are pre-shaped. the only ones i can find are those cheap steel braided imitation ones. has anyone ever bought one of these radiators? and does anybody have any good ideas of how i can get the radiator hose to fit over the inlet? i was thinking of stretching the hose out but not quite sure of how do do that properly.

Re: 96-00 civic radiator hose size

Usually eBay parts and other OEM parts have fitment issues to some degree, which brings me to seriously question their quality. As far as your hose problem, go to advanced auto parts, NAPA or auto-zone and tell them the diameter hose that you need and I guarantee you they will have it. Make sure you get the hose clamps, too. If this radiator fails you as well get one from a junkyard or go straight to Honda. The extra money you pay getting an original Honda part far outweighs the stress and frustration from cheap imitations.
