New to Forum / selling advice

Hello all!

I've searched around the forums a little bit and figured this would be as good as anywhere to get some advice.

Much to my dismay, my wife and I need to sell out 2000 Honda Civic SI. We had a kid 8 months ago and we're needing the extra room. If I had my choice I'd store the car, but that's not an option either.

Soooo, I'm looking for what people might think I should list it for. Below are the spec's of the car.

• DOHC VTec Engine (4 cylinder, 1.6 liter)
• Manual 5 speed transmission
• 129,400 miles
• Electron Blue Pearl Color
• New Tires in April 2010 with fully paid service contract
• Leather interior (factory installed)
• Air Conditioning
• K & N Air Filter
• Set of fitted studded tires/wheels
• Single & Multidisk CD player (in dash)
• Fitted Civic Car Cover
• 2nd owner- 1st was a Honda employee
• ALL maintenance records and regular servicing completed as well as timing belt replacement at 100,000 recommended miles
• Immaculate Condition
• Power windows
• Remote keyless entry and alarm
• Factory fog lights
• Extra Set of Honda floor mats
• Extra Hood (replaced due to rock chips in paint)
• Never rallied or raced
• Completely stock- no modifications to engine or exhaust
• Clean title
• Passenger and Driver Airbags
• Non-Smoker
• Sunroof

We were thinking starting around $10k; is that just absurd for what is listed???

Thanks in advance.... again I hate doing this, but have no choice.

Re: New to Forum / selling advice

list it high, i know those cars are pretty rare and in demand. then lower it a bit if nobody shows interest. check the kbb.com value too. and just wondering doesnt the back seat have alot of room for a child seat?

It does, but it's more of a hassle now reaching in and pulling her out of the middle seat. My wife carpools and the other lady has a baby too, same age and it's pretty tight with everything for them.

I appreciate the advice with going high.. That was our intent, and I guess if it doesn't sell, we hold onto it. It's paid for.
