Question Rim choices?

So, I drive a 96 civic hatch. I was wondering...what rims would be good for my civic. I currently have ICW Trident on there now, 7 spoke sliver rims.

I'm wondering what rims I should get next...I really like the 7 spoke. Cian anyone recommend any that would look good on my hatch, with it being a hatch.

I like the Motegi FF7's. But don't know how they would look on a hatch....also liked the Motegi MR7's...but they are so out dated.

Also, tire size what would be best? Current I'm rollng 15's. Was thinking of going with 16's and not 17's...b/c the 17's would look too big for my civic (personal opinion) and I do drive my car daily!

Any help and recommendations is helpful! Thank's guys.

Re: Rim choices?

My civic is midori green.
I have black smoked headlights.

I have sliver rims on now.

I was going to go for Gun Metal this time....

Price range is...I'm not going to spend more than 1,200 for tires/rims (together)

Re: Rim choices?

Gunmetal freakin rocks. Just sayin.. lol

I personally like my Buddy Club rims a lot. Those are 17s on my civic. They look good, weigh 17.5 lbs a piece, but you get one less spoke than you're looking for

If you hunt around, you can find 'em for prolly 150-180/rim, putting you at about 600-700 for rims.

here they are in 16x7's for 160 a piece, with free shipping

edit: Here they are for 144/rim, but I don't know how much shipping is..

Re: Rim choices?

What was the stock tire size of your civic?

I don't like Buddy club.

The Motgeti MR7's are what I really like....but they are outdated....

I guess, I'll go with the FF7's....

Think a 17 will be too big for my car to clear will rub and ect.

Re: Rim choices?

Oh, almost forgot about Konig rims.. they got some nice rims out there for pretty good prices. You can find a decent selection at tires.com.

I take weight of the rim into consideration a lot when I look at rims, just because I do look at the performance aspect, too.. but that's just me.

Re: Rim choices?

I love Five spokes on just about any car/truck.

As for color I think the bronze colored ones look really good with green cars.

Place I ordered from...didn't have Konig, or Enkei was what I actually wanted. The best option I had was Motegi Racing...unless I wanted to order them myself online and pay a *** load for shipping, so I sucked it up and got what was easier.

I don't like broze. I had silver, so I wanted to try something different, so I went with black. They'll look hott...as soon as they come in and are on my car! I'll post a pic....

Gonna hae to do full suspension on my civic as well because I can't just put springs on...bad for the car, will have to wait a while to have money for a full suspension kit.

Before anyone says anything. Lol, yes I am a woman and I know a little about cars. But I have to say...my <3 is mustang...just can't get one bc my husband HATES them. :/

I will, I don't have springs on my car anymore. So It will be on stock hight until I have the money for full suspension kit. Riding with just Eibach lowering springs....made me nervous, so I took them off and gave them to a friend.

Why did you make your username XRiceboyX?

You aren't the type to rice a civic out are you?

I hate people that do that! Makes me embarrassed to be a civic driver. lol.

I'm just a chick though...I'm sure everyone is thinking that girl don't know what she's talking about.

Nah, I have friends that hate modded civics, but like my car because it's done clean. It's actually a mix of me bring Filipino and my best friend's mom gave me that nickname. She's always call me "mr rice man, riceboy, etc."

as for you being a chick, I don't discriminate. I've seen a good amount of chicks that know what they're talking about. My sister knows her way around an engine bay thanks to me, and it helped when a mechanic tried to eff her over. You should definitely stick around and become a regular poster, it's been too much of a sausage fest on these boards as of late, well, compared to how it used to be back in 04

here's my car if you wanna check it out

Re: Rim choices?

I'll be around for a while! Hope everyone is nice to me! I hate douchbags that sometimes live on car forums. I think we all should be able to have difference of opinion and still be able to respect everyone opinions even if we have our own and don't agree. None the less. I'm here to stay as long as I don't see flaming.
