So I just bought a 97 Civic EX with an aftermarket radio. I was told that it had keyless entry at some point it hasn't worked for a while. Also, the driver's side door does not unlock manually, you have to unlock from the passengers door and reach across to unlock the drivers side. The car does have electric locks. I was hoping someone could provide a solution to this problem for me. Thanks!

i have a similar problem my power switch locks the doors but wont unlock them but my keyless works most of the time i noticed that my passenger door ajar switch sticks so even the tho the door is physically closed the car things its opened and the keyless wont work

For 6th gens, the keyless entry receiver is built into the stock radio.

except the 99-00 models. the keyless control is behind the driver side kickpanel.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that, thanks. But for OP, he'll need the stock radio.
