Cruise Control Adjustments

ok, same 98 civic ex 4dr AT from previous thread (transmission). now that you guys have determined my tranny is good (thanks) it's my cruise control that's giving me some problems. when driving up the mountain it loses speed (sometimes about 10 mph) before it re-accelerates. i've set it at 65mph then it loses speed and recovers at 55mph. i did the same thing and set it at 55mph and it losses speed and recovers at 45. chilton repair mannual is useless and doesn't explain how to adjust. i checked for vacum leaks and it's ok. can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot the other components that might be a problem. thanks guys

Re: Cruise Control Adjustments

Doesn't seem like a problem to me....
unless it stays 10mph below for a long period of time before jumping back

Usually when i CC, going down hill i go like 5mph faster, then it slowly adjusts back
Same for uphill

Just drive manually on the dam mountain :P

Re: Cruise Control Adjustments

That sounds about right. The CC has a 10mph leeway.
