Hey, just joined like couple min ago, and got a question of my own.

So i bought this civic, cracked headers, stock engine with intake, "performance" exhaust, kinda loud but with that tin can sound, not really deep. Its pretty ghetto (radiator is wired to the front end to hold it )
Trying to get a job, make some money and go to school. But I do not know much at all about mechanics.

My concern is the suspension. When i turn sharp, at any speed, the tires clicks. Like it is touching or being interrupted by something. IT sounds like its coming from the FRONT DRIVER side tire. My friend said maybe ball-joint? can anyone help me out. What it may be, what parts to get, also how much estimated cost. Im open to any knowledge, trying to fix my project honda.

Oh and I want to save up for a engine swap b-16 first, Maybe b-18c Type R. (<---prob wont have enuff for that) Thanks!

Re: New member, first civic

Your problem could be a ball joint or a bad cv joint/axle. And being a mechanic is not hard at all. Its just mainly knowing righty tighty, lefty loosy on most off it till you get to internal work.

And assuming that they have the radiator ghetto rigged then it has been hit in the front. If so then you might want to get a new radiator support and cut the other off and weld the new one on, or it could just be the brackets that need to be replaced. You need to get the header swapped since it is cracked. Welding it would only help for a little then crack again.

And sounds like a good swap is going to be in the future.
