Pulling trouble codes

I have a 2000 DX, I looked in the Haynes manual and I thought I found the service connector to jump it. Jumping the 2 pin connector didnt do anything. Nothing else around looks like the right one. I pulled the connector from in behind the fan on the passenger side. So did I pull the wrong one or what?

thx

Re: Pulling trouble codes

Look for a green rubber "connector". It's actually a cover, pull on it and the blue scs plug is underneath. Don't give up, I had a hell of a time finding it.

You might have to unmount the ECU to get at it. I did...
