window problems

hey guys i have a 96 ex. that has a strange problem, my passanger side window doesnt function from the drivers side controls, and if i use the passanger side controls it only goes up.

seems as though one set of switches doesnt work (driver side) and passanger side wont switch polarity to let it go down.

Before you bitch a me heres what ive tried
- i got switches (both) out of a car that worked perfect
- new regulator and motor
- all fuses seem to be ok
is there something im missing or does my car have wiring issues even though previous owner only installed aftermarket radio
Thanks in advance

I think I know the problem.

Go to the drivers door open it and look at the black boot going to the door, pull it back and see if there any split wires.

If that is the problem come back and post it.
