4-2-1 headers

OK I have a 97 four door civic LX 1.6L manual, I bought some 4-2-1 headers and was trying to put them on, but the guy who was helping me with them said its not going to work cause of the 02 sensor for the downpipe is not long enough, but talked to one of my friends who has the same car I have his just look better said I can put them on with no problem without having to sauder the cords for the downpipe o2 sensor instead just just cut the little cord part where it is at and strech it down there and just tape it back up, so if someone that has done this to there honda let me know so i can put the headers on and also if anyone is trying to get a rid of a cat back exhaust let me know I need one as well cause I know I can use the headers legally without a cat thanks

Re: 4-2-1 headers

They make o2 sensor extensions so there is no need for cutting or anything.
