Build a B16A2

Ive been a lurker for a while. I have a 1999 si with 70,000 miles that i want to start building. I use this thing as a daily, but id like to make some bulletproof power NA. My performance marks are 180-200 hp, and 120-140tq with rock solid reliability. I need the suggestions of you masters of the B-SERIES. Thanks

Re: Build a B16A2

CTR cams are a nice gain. Also go with the ITR intake manifold and a cold air intake. For exhaust stick only with mandrel bent and I have found 2.25 works very well. Let us know what you pull on the dyno, it should make your goal.

Re: Build a B16A2

Thanks for the advice. I bought the car with an AEM intake, DG header and catback. It also has A/C delete, and pulleys. I also ran across a jackson racing supercharger that i could get hold of pretty cheap. An words of advice on that route?

I personally do not liked forced induction on an engine designed for NA. It will never last.

Re: Build a B16A2

NA = Reliable
Boost = More Power

A super charger is the best option for reliability if going the boost route, and it makes probably the most usable power, although im sure others will contend this. With your goals in mind though it should be easily doable NA without any problems.
