AWD Civic conversion to 6th gen Q's.???
Honda released an AWD civic in 1988.. Ugly beast of a wagon.
(All information is based on comparison to the 6th gen sedan chassis.)
I've been under the impression the 1988-2000 chassis didn't really change in terms of wheel base and subsequent dimensions..
Therefore... you should be able to convert a 6th gen to AWD...
With that being plausible... what kind of powertrain alterations would need to be done? Would you have to use the tranny from the '88 wagon?
Obviously.. you'd need more power than the D16Y7 could produce...
My thoughts were B18C5 or H22A..
Ideas lads?
(No e-peens please, just a theoretical thread for fun guys.)

Re: AWD Civic conversion to 6th gen Q's.???
well i had alot of ideas on this subject... my favorite is to put a v6 acura motor in the rear of a 96 hatchback civic or even in a crx wit turbos.. i think you would have to get a donor vehicle first that runs. start take stuff off of it and go from there buying new stuff like axles and differentals can be very costly unless you have alot euros, lbs, dollars and paceos whatever.. BLUEPRINT IT ON PAPER first. draw it out from nut and bolt to sheet metal panals ,i hope you are really experent in welding too. can you imagine the G's from that i really dont think it would handle right for a every day driver but it has been done before.you would lose alot of power... BY THE WAY iam takeing apps for people who are intrested in messing with hondas and reconfigureing them like that and yes you will make lots of money and plublissity so peeps let me know something you will be popular
