Unhappy 98 honda civic problem

I recently had to have the idle air control valve fixed on my honda, after fixing it i drove it around to see how it drove first, at first it drove fine and then after a long stretch of driving it began to act up, when i get to 55 to 60 mph the car drives fine but as soon as i let off the gas a little to decelerate, it has a little jerk, almost like when u stick ur hand on the end of a vaccuum cleaner hose blocking the suction, then when u try to gas it again it stutters a little until u speed up, the car drives fine until u slow down, it is also using a lot more gas, can anyone help??

Re: 98 honda civic problem

I suggest you do a visual inspection of the throttle plate and mating surfaces. If it's all clean and free moving, try a used IACV.
