idle problem

for some reason it just starting happening. my radiator is full n everything is good. when i drive my 97 civic when i give it gas the rpm dont go lower then 2000 rpm. what could it be.

Any work done to the car recently? Completely stock? Could be a damaged accelerator cable or bent throttle body linkage.
