top of engine oil leak

I have a 96 civic ex. I have a lot of oil leaking on the top of the engine. I had the valve cover gasket done and oil pan gaskets as well.

In addition, I had the o ring in the distributor just done.

Any ideas where else it can be leaking?

Re: top of engine oil leak

it might still be coming from the valve cover if it wasnt installed properly.

I checked the corners of the valve cover, no real wet oil.

I might have to have the dist o ring checked again, right under that area is wet oil, falling on the trans case.

I was wondering if there is anything else that can leak from the area of the distributor and valve cover?

Interesting, I am over due to change it then. Any tricks to get it out without going under the car, plus I bet mine would break since it is so old.

Re: top of engine oil leak

use a pair of long nose pliars and heat the area first so its not as brittle. or drive the car just before changing it.

I was looking at the link, when you say long needle nose pliers, what is the best way to get to it? from the side of the intake, since the area where the hose plugs into is very narrow? Remember I have an EX.
