boosting the 2000 si
boosting the 2000 si
im 16 and i have a 2000 civic si. Its all stock besides intake, exaust..... but anyway i really want to boost it and get it in the 300whp range. I dont really want to buy a greddy kit due to its small horsepower gain. but i was looking around and the two best kits it looked like was the peak boost and the full-race kit. I also want to use a garrett gt turbo/\. any suggestions?

Re: boosting the 2000 si
if you are going with that much boost, youre gonna need to build the engine up first or stuff will start to break real quick.

GO to page 10. They did a b16 bone stock with just bigger injectors and fuel pump.
he used a t3/t04E at 9psi pump gas and he got 310whp.
The t3/to4E is rated at 500whp and i want to use the gt3076R which is rated for 570whp

i'm currently looking at doing the same thing with my 99 si. as far as kits go i was looking at the edelbrock x kit but decided to build my own kit instead. just make sure you build your engine for how much boost your gonna push. VERY easy to blow an engine with boost. also...don't use a bigger turbo than you need otherwise your never going to get the sucker spooled up all the way
