My daughters '98 LX hood will not close all of the way. I am doing some routine maintenance while she is home and not it won't lock in place. Is there any kind of adjustment on the latch? I looked in my Haynes manual and was again disappointed with the lack of detail here.

there are a few rubber stoppers you can turn to lower or raise the resting point of the hood. so if its sitting too high and not grabbing the latch, try screwing in the adjusters so the hood sits lower.

Thanks gearbox. I tried that first and it made no difference. There are three indentation marks on either side of the latch so I then tried lower and raising the latch without success again. I then took the latch out and cleaned all of the dried grease out of it, put new white grease on it and reinstalled it. Works great!
