crank shaft pulley bolt
crank shaft pulley bolt
hey guys,
over the weekend I got the timing belt replaced. this process includes removal of all belts and the crank shaft pulley. oh by the way the engine type would be : d15b sohc vtec 1.5l. all belts were put back on and it ran like a dream, but i started to notice a slight "clunk" when i start the car, but then it ran fine. When i was driving the bolt that holds the crank shaft pulley in place came out. i got the bolt replaced, including the flat metal chip thing, but now i'm noticing the same clunk sound when i start. anyh ideas on what's happening ?....

Re: crank shaft pulley bolt
I'd be sure that the bolt is not coming loose again. I have always just used an impact gun to remove and replace the bolt. I have always followed Honda recommendations by oiling the threads only and not the mating surface.
Good luck!
