Hike it up to O'Reilly's or AutoZone and buy a Haynes manual. I'm just being a smart *** because I don't know, and I'm actually kind of interested.

so you took it off? i think it goes back the same way but then you have to set the ignition timing again.

Re: how to put back a distributor back into the car

okay, i took out the distributor. remove all the wires and 3 bolts. I wanted to see if it was the cause of my leaks. when i remove it....all the past oil was under it....maybe its because an o-ring. maybe....but darn it!!!! i crack something when i was putting it back on. At the moment I didnt know how to put the distributor back then one thing led to another, the very top of where you can screw(out of three) back(part of the engine) cracked. its a pretty big crack now. I think it is replaceable. but the frame has a crack. The circle where you put back the distributor. I just need to know where i can find that part. here is the picture...it is the part you screw back on. i am worried if the car is not drivable because of that crack. What do you think? is it safe? Now im sure the leak is slowly coming from there now because of me. I feel dumb. fml

yeah i think that will leak if its cracked. they sell the cap and rotor separate but thats it. if you cracked the housing, you gotta buy a new distributor

i think thats part of the valve cover which isnt too hard to replace. they are pretty cheap too if you look for used parts on ebay or junkyard.
