Rep Power: 0 New Member-->2000 Civic Question
Hello Everyone,
I am a new member. I have a weird issue I need help with!
When my 2000 civic se is really warm, it seems like the gas pedal is sticking. It revs really high and I need to pull the gas pedal out by my foot. I greased all the cables and pedals and it still happens. It only happens with the car is running for a long time. You think my throtle body is sticking?
Thanks in advance!
Ryan

I would use brake cleaner to clean the rotor and then lube it with WD40.
Use carb cleaner to clean the plate and throat. Note that there is a stripe of sealer that's on the wall of the throat where the plate touches. It's there by design so don't scrub it off. Just clean it so it doesn't stick.
