Im looking at getting something like the Viper 5901 soon, never done a install like this before. Am I up for the challenge? It looks like a hassle but hell if I'm going to pay circuit city $100 bucks to do this.

have you wired anything? i would research the alarm, what every wire does and how every wire works, then i'd research http://www.the12volt.com/ and search for every car similar to yours someone else has wired. their questions can point out possible problems and solutions. they can give you wire colors and locations to wire your alarm. google helps a lot to. research til it's clear and go for it if you have the tools and patience. everyone starts somewhere.

I've had my share of ripping my dash apart and messing with all kinds of wires. If it has instructions to some degree then I think I will be just fine but most people say when getting an Alarm that its all about the "Install" so I am just wondering what they mean.
