How Do i get rid of the cruise controll?

Hey guys,

Does anyone out there ever figured out how to remove that nasty cruise controll on the 1997 civic EX, i need some space under my hood and that thing is on the way.... I need to find out how to remove it, the problem is that i see some hoses that are coming from the engine that looks like a vaccuum hose and also a wire that i think is fro the throttle.... any ideas??

Jw does your cruise suck? Mine will let the speed drop like 10mph or more sometimes when it starts to go up a hill before it will upshift. Very crappy.

Actually i just got rid of that nasty cruise controll, i disconnected both vacuum lines and also the throttle cable assembly that comes from the pedal, I sealed the whole on the firewall that was left after taking out the throttle cable and also i sealed the whole below the intake manifold that had one of the vacuum lines i disconnected, last i disconnected the electrical connector and wrapped it up with tape and tucked it in behind the steering oil reservoir... my iddle is not bounding, i got more space under my hood and its looking good!!!
