headers..ceramic or stainless

so im looking at some headers... i realized there are stainless steel as well as ceramic headers.... id like to know which are better i guess pros and cons...and does generic brand really matter...im trying to get a nice look under the hood...not go all out

OK, first off it's header not headers - you only have one. ;>)

Now, here are the trade-offs as I see it.

Stainless: Looks awesome - when brand new. Later it'll have that burnt look. It also emitts heat into the engine bay for your air intake to pump into the engine.

Ceramic: Looks less flashy but you can get them in colors like blue for example. They retain their appearance and provide insulation to keep your engine bay cooler.

Option 3: Plain old steel and heat wrap it. You save money on the part. You'll have the best insulation possible. And even though it's not flashy, it'll look like you're going for all out performance over style.
