97 civic radio security help

97 civic radio security help
I have a 97 civic and I bought a 98 factory radio off ebay to use. My problem is the security plug. My harness is much larger than the 98 radios plug. Is there a way to convert the harness to fit or am I just crap out of luck with the newer radio? Thanks.
