B16 like, the K20 like aftermarket intakes! 170-180WHP is over estimated I think..... probably more like 145-150WHP.

well, under new SAE rules, not really..... and they dyno somewhere around 135WHP..... I clearly stated WHP..... I kind of got the idea that you were talking crank HP. Original poster asked for WHP as well.

unless someone has the same exact set up........ it's pointless to just keep throwing #'s around....

We throw numbers cause he wants an "estimated" number. =P

My friend went to get his car fixed and got an "estimate" of $1700 but the ending price came out to over 6 grand =P

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1373660

here is a dyno post, ball park figure.

• 2000 B16A2
• P30 ECU
• AEM CAI (Si) w/ Green USA Filter
• JIC Bullet 505 exhaust
• test pipe
• stock header
• stock everything else

147.0 whp
103.6 wtq

b16a is the best for turbo, if you wanna go all motor get the b18 or the h22

proven fact you get more hp from turbo b16a than a b18c

b16b is a jdm motor, if something breakes its hard to find the parts, but u can always settle for b16a, and u will find those parts easy....

b16b civic type-r = 175-180hp
b16a making 155-160hp

Re: estimated HP??

B20B with a B16A3 head, GSR ECU and a 70mm Skunk2 Megapower R exhaust.

150.3WHP/129.3WTQ

Those numbers are at the wheel on a Dynapack Dyno at about 88 degrees outside.

B20B is also good for turbo because of lower compression.

Re: estimated HP??

6K for 170hp - really 145-155hp- ? Holy cow! Dude I love civics as much of the next guy but that is steep. Put an old or rebuilt integra motor in it and add big air intake. It'll save you money. Next find a good set of eibach springs and shocks and do that. That'll keep you running for awhile - trust me. Add a chip if you want to adjust hp a little.
