Gauges change

Hey i wanted to know if i could change my stock '94 honda civic dx gauge with a pair for a honda civic Ex. the whole purpose is to have a set of rpm gauges, because the stock dx gauges do not have rpm gauge on them. So, if you guys could offer up some advice it would be great...

How do you guys know it's a direct swap? It is for 7thgens, but maybe not the older ones. You need to make sure all the plugs are the same. Go to a junkyard and compare if you have to. Don't assume they just match up. Oh and after the swap, assuming it works, your mileage is probably gonna be different. So don't plan on selling the car after that.

You know you could always just buy an aftermarket tach and wire that up.

Well, i thought about getting an aftermarket assembly, but i like the oem tach from the 92-95 honda civic ex and plus i goin to put custom orange bulbs in them for a nice jdm climate, and also putting custom orange bulbs in my climate control as well.
