Lightbulb thinking of a B18c swap

new to this forum, nice to be here! looking forward to hearing peoples thoughts.
hypothetically speaking Id love to eventually swap a B18c type R into my 2001 Acura EL. just picked up the car and I love it, first Honda and im hooked already.
has anyone done this swap on a 7th gen before? if so, how was it??? I know its gonna be a money pit but im looking for opinions, ive done my research and couldnt find much on a swap into a 7th gen. would love some feedback!
im assuming because its a different series id have to get new mounts and the whole 9 yards

Re: thinking of a B18c swap

You would have to custom make everything including engine mounts. I have read of a B series swap (1) in a 7th gen. It’s not impossible but for the price a k swap would be best.

Also it’s usually illegal to swap an older engine into a newer car so check your local laws.

Re: thinking of a B18c swap

way easier to put in a k, and like GolNat said typically illegal to put an older engine into a newer car.

buy a wrecked/rotted rsx and do it that way

Re: thinking of a B18c swap

Thanks for the feedback guys! I know they produced a b18c until 2001 so i was thinking if i was going to do it id get one out of a 2001 , but like i said, still kinda new to everything but i appreciate the feedback! I thought a k series would be a little easier and cheaper route
