Front Seat Mounting Bolt Cross-Threaded?
So I was going to remove my front drivers seat to try to replace it or fix the rocking, on an '04 LX. The rear inside mounting bolt feels like it's cross-threaded. It's extremely stiff. I've backed it off a little but have stopped because I don't want to do any damage that I can't repair.
I can't see a nut on the bottom. I'm wondering if anyone knows what it threads into, and / or has any suggestions. If it threads into a welded nut that's inaccessible and I break it off I'm not sure where I'd go from there.
I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Start soaking it in rust-buster penetrating oil of some sort,
If the stuck bolt will turn at all, spray it down then turn it as far as you are comfortable turning it, work it back and forth to get the penetrating oil to work its way down the threads.
Repeat the soaking and moving several times over the course of several days.

Thanks. You're right, it's absolutely rust; not sure why my mind went right to cross-threading. I hit both bottom and top with PB Blaster and worked them a bit, I'll repeat now and then over the next couple of days.
I found the bottom, by the way. They thread into what look like washers welded to the floorpan inside the frame rail (can you call it a frame rail on a unibody car?). It's offset about three inches from one of the holes in the bottom of the rail, so it's hard to see and there's no access to it. The lack of access to the nut makes me nervous - if something goes wrong I have to be able to fix it from the top side. So I guess my backup plan if the threads are ruined is to chase them with a tap, or drill and tap slightly larger.

I hit em with an impact gun every time.
So far I've not had a seat mount bolt hole strip on a Honda, but if one ever does strip and not tighten I would expect I can fix it with heli-coil.
Some threaded holes in some floorpans go to the outside, you can see daylight through them. I guess they can't leak water in as long as a bolt is stuck in there.
