Rep Power: 0 02' Civic LX Trunk Release Broken?
Hey, I'm quite new to the forums. So here I go.
I have an 02' Civic LX (4dr) and the trunk release switch does not work, when I push down on it the gas tank opens fine, but when I pull it to open the trunk I get no feedback (almost feels as if its stuck). I opened the trunk and found the wire that "supposed" open it, and when I push and pull on the wire the actual release switch (on the floor of the driver side) moves up and down.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Turn the lock on the release lever with your ignition key.
It sounds like it is locked.
Or there is a problem, it will most likely be found by removing the door sill trim panel to investigate.
