Question Vin Number Wrong!! Fog Light Issues

So, I found out my vin number was wrong... The VIN tells me I own an 2002 honda Civic, while the interior and wiring of the car tells me I own a 2003.

So I hooked up my fog lights, and the Switch doesnt fit into my car. So I order the 2003 one and it fits perfectly but the plugs on the back are different. BLOWN!

So I was wondering if there was some sort of electrical adapter I can order that connects the five straight prongs (-----) to the 2003 switch which is four straight prongs and a single one on the next row. Any or anyway that the could connect the two, thanks in advance! Plus I have an 01-02 Fog Light Switch if anyone is interested!

I'm fairly positive if your car was made in 2002 it is a 2003 model year civic. Honda switched to the 2003 style midway through 2002 production. As for the adapter, I have no idea.

A couple of options:

1. Order and install an OEM connector or clip one off a junkyard car

2. Go to the parts store (Radio Shack, Fry's, etc) and get a generic connector

3. Just straight wire them together

if you have the ebay fogs you will find that the oem style switch doesnt quite fit in right. i ended up sanding off a little bit of the clips on the back of the switch. doesnt fit perfect but it helped a fair bit.
