Bought a donor car, what gems are there to sell.

So I just bought a 2002 LX auto sedan with 74,000 original miles on it. It took a decent rearend collision and front bumper looks like it hit a handicap pole but otherwise it’s in very good condition.

So besides the engine/catalictic converter and headlights which I am going to swap over to my civic, all the other parts I am going to try to sell to re coup the cost.. ideal goal would be to cover the purchase price of the donor.

Besides obvious stuff such as transmission, doors, seats, pcm maybe with matching ignition switch and harness.

What might be worth to pull out and sell as used? Worth meaning over $30..

I once sold my OEM radio for $100. Just make sure you give them the radio code, as well.

Re: Bought a donor car, what gems are there to sell.

Well the car was delivered today. Rare case of it actually looks better than the photos.
Has code P0122 and oil seepage from valve cover bolts, but it was very nice to back it up the driveway and not smell like a burning oilfield my current car is.

I will update as I make progress on it.. 40 degrees outside here in Houston, too cold for this monkey to start.

Re: Bought a donor car, what gems are there to sell.

Borrowed lift from my awesome neighbor.
Pulled the engine out today. Quick tip I wish I read prior was to unbolt all the stuff underneath before taking off heater core water lines..

Keep dripping on me every time I bumped it around.

Pretty much stripped her bare.

Need to figure out if I strip off all the suspension, how will I get it out of the driveway and too the scrap center.

most scrap dealers will have a winch....they will hook it up to the frame and drag it onto the truck

Do you still have the driver side seatbelt buckle for this? If so, what color is it?
