Whats de difference between BMXA transmission built in canada thank BMXA built in USA

Hello i have a bad tranny 2005 civic DX non vtec,,bought a used one 2003 EX v-tec,, both trannys looks identical did my research and found my DX especcs says w/OD,,and the EX says w/OD lock up torque converter,,,so before i installed i wanna make sure the EX fit in my DX since they both are BMXA but one is made in canada and the other one in USA thx.

The trans for VTEC engine has different gear ratios than the other trans for non-VTEC engine

Thanx,,,so the EX transmission would no fit on the DX ,,,even do they are both BMXA?

I think it will bolt together but I don't know if the computer would set fault codes because of gear ratios it isn't programmed for.

Mix-n-match-n-pray swaps aren't my bag.

Maybe someone else will chime in with better info?

Went to columbus IN honda dealer culdnt give me that information, dont ask me why,,they just dont wanna help,,,i have 2 choices install it and s ee what happened,,or tare both transmission apart and inspect them,,

You're wanting info that dealers don't have in the first place, therefore no help.

We at dealers don't deal with mix/match/pray parts swapping.

If you wanted to purchase an absolutely correct replacement transmission selected using the VIN of your car, they would sell that to you in a heartbeat.
