Loctite on Cam shaft gear bolt Yes or No?

Doing a head replacement. I've read some threads about cam gears coming loose. Is loctite necessary or should i just torque to 27 ftlb and call it a day?

Torque and call it a day. Haven't had a problem with my cam gear coming loose

If you don't trust, have your torque wrench checked first?

Medium strength Loctite?
Sup to you.

i used loctite last time but now im starting to regret it, i will be paranoid the next time i have to remove that bolt (hopefully never), my worst fear would be snapping the head off that bolt because the locitite, and the threads staying put inside the cam, or maybe i just worry too much

Just heat up the bolt with a propane torch before removing it, the loctite will soften.

My torque wrench is pretty acurate. I'm just going to torque to spec with no loctite.
