The best alternator for quality is the genuine Honda. Price check with one of the online dealers like Majestic...

I hate paying dealer prices but its hard to beat the quality, and easy to get a very poor quality alternator from an aftermarket source.

I believe I read that Honda sells the alt parts to rebuild and you could take it to a local shop to be rebuilt. But if you buy from Honda, you know it was already rebuilt right and quality checked, performance tested.

Be sure to properly tighten alt mounting bolts, since the provide the ground path for your ECU.

Seems I heard that the Napa remans were better than some of the others...

Re: Which reman alternator ??

reman stuff is junk and a waste of money. NAPA in Canada has some of the worst reman stuff i've ever seen. Find a reputable/trustworthy auto electric place around where you live and have them rebuild it.

Re: Which reman alternator ??

aftermarket alternators are a crap shoot, its hit and miss, just luck in my opinion, whatever you buy make sure it comes with a lifetime warranty
