Power locks not working?

So I recently bought my 01 Civic EX for $650 since i needed a motor swap, and I realized when I got it back from the mechanic my power locks don't work. When I flip the switch, I hear a click, then the headlights turn on but nothing happens. Do any of you know what's wrong with it?

Re: Power locks not working?

Are you saying headlights blink or turn on? You sure they worked before the engine exchange? Know on my 05 with only 90K but mostly in and out city, the little electric motor that pops the lock up and down got full of carbon around the armature commentator. It would click and nod the lock lever but had no strength. I got some aftermarket ones on ebay for about $18. They lasted about a year. I cleaned up the motors in my old ones and they are as good as new. As usually aftermarket for autos suck. The aftermarket can be taken apart a lot easier and one of these day am going to take them apart to see what happened. The OEM needs to be split with a razor knife using a vice. Then the crimp on the motor needs to be ground till you can bend it away and still recrimp it. You need to pull the brushes back with sewing thread when you put motor back together and then slide the thread out releasing brushes. I glued and sealed the split housing with RTV.
