Drive axle seals

Anyone recommend lubing the outside edge of new driveaxle seals at install? I got some OEM from Honda and they just don't want to jump in there..

Re: Drive axle seals

Ok, that's what i thought - i always have before, but just couldn't get these to drop in - turns out the LH and RH seals are different diameter.. tore one up trying to drift it in with a big socket, better to just use the old seal instead - sets it right in there nice..
