Aftermarket Exhaust
Re: Aftermarket Exhaust
Apex'i WS2 is the best well-balanced exhaust for 7thGen, hands down! It is quiet during regular driving, no drone at highway speeds. When you give it the goose, sounds throaty with good torque and without the ricey raspiness of traditional straight-tube "Fart-can" exhausts. By far, the best mod I've ever done to my 2002 EX. I've had 3 other setups over the past 12 years, and no regrets with this one!

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust
*sigh* the cheapest Apexi WS2 116-KH21 (7gen EX) quote I can find, shipped to my PO, is $787.

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust
BTW... does the KH21 WS2 system fit the sedan? All the sources I'm reading say the KH21 is only for the coupe. Guess for non-obnoxious it's just the Magnaflow for us sedan scrubs then. :P

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust
Holy sheepshirt, you're right, lowlife... and Apexi wants $700+ for... a muffler and a bit of steel pipe, not even stainless?!?
That definitely points me right into a Magnaflow system, then. When they say 'catback'... they actually mean, from the catalyst, back to the tip. In stainless. For $200 less.
Seems like just the weight savings over that looong, mild steel pipe and OEM resonator would be worth it.
Maybe the Apexi is a bit less ricey-sounding? But not $200 less ricey...

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust
also if your running a header with no or high flow cat the ws2 will sound ricy or even if you remove the stock resonator. thats why i usually recommend the Vibrant street muffler tied with a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator.
