Front "H" emblem question

My front emblem on my 2001 Civic has broken. So I need to buy a new one. Do I also need to buy retainer clips for it?

How does the emblem secure to the grill?

i take mine off periodically to match my wheels or paint scheme from plasti dip and a couple different ones have the push pins on the back broken and i just use 3m tape and they stay on great and come off without taking the paint off on the trunk lid
