Engine Jerks from Reverse to Drive

Engine Jerks from Reverse to Drive
The engine jerks whenever I put it in reverse to drive. Not the normal jerking but a more drastic jerk. A noticeable jerk. I had the motor mounts replaced and that didn't seem to do anything. I noticed it when I replaced my front struts on my car and after that it started jerking. There is also this wierd clacking noise comeing from the front right side of my car. Kind of sounds like when you put a baseball card in the spokes of your bicycle. That sort of sound. Not sure how this sort of stuff could happen after just replaceing my struts. Any ideas what this could be.
