'01 DX A/C Install
'01 DX A/C Install
So here's my dilemma, I have an '01 DX with no factory A/C so my plan is to attempt to piece together a complete A/C system.
Thanks to HandA-Accessories.com I found a PDF manual for installing the A/C kit they used to sell (Discontinued). I have found compressor/drier/receiver on ebay for $295. For the other misc. parts I'm a little worried these online parts dealers won't have any in stock even though there webpage allows you to order.
My question to all you is, do you think it would be difficult/expensive to do such a job? Or do you think I should sell the car and try to buy a used Civic with factory A/C?
I'd appreciate any input that is given. Thanks!
Here's what I would need to find to build complete A/C system.

A lot of headache is in your road ahead. The best thing is just to sell your car and buy the same civic with ac. Just my .02.
However, if your up for the challenge, more power to you. Please keep us updated.

Furthermore, if you do decide pursue the installation, and if it isn't too much trouble, could you please take pictures and piece together a DIY guide? It would be greatly appreciated and would be a valuable addition to the archive of DIY guides.
If you have trouble finding parts, and you wanna go with Honda OEM stuff (even if its for the specific bolts and whatnot), hondaautomotiveparts.com will save you some money, even if the shipping costs can be kinda ridiculous.
Best of luck! I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
